MCC KICKS THEIR BROADBAND UP ANOTHER NOTCH

For the second time in eight months, Molalla Communications is providing

significant Broadband speed upgrades to its members with no increase in price.

Bandwidth usage across the entire landscape of the Internet is increasing  exponentially. More and more consumers are spending an increasing amount of time online, watching and sharing videos, viewing their favorite TV show, or playing the newest role playing video game. These bandwidth intensive activities are placing an ever growing strain on consumer Broadband speeds and can be attributed to holding up many Internet connections during peak hours. Molalla Communications closely monitors the bandwidth that they provide their members and has watched this trend in Internet usage very intently.

In June of 2006, recognizing a need within the community, they introduced new Broadband Internet packages featuring download speeds as high a 6 megabytes. However, this was only the beginning. They’ve recently announced another significant boost, most notably an 800% download increase in their base package, along with considerable increases in the upload speeds of all current packages. Not only have they managed to build Broadband offerings that rival those of the mega-conglomerates, but they’ve been able to do so without increasing cost to their members. Below is a rundown of MCC’s new upgraded offerings:

When asked why MCC was upgrading their speeds for the second time in eight months, Chris Michalopoulos the VP of Marketing & Member Relations has this to say, “It’s all about meeting the Members’ needs. Who has the time or patience to wait on the Internet these days? We’re here to make sure our members don’t have to, especially during peak usage hours.” Chris then went on to describe how the company’s commitment to “enriching the Members’ lives,” and how constantly seeking efficiencies to keep the company financially viable, have led to the ability to offer these upgrades at no additional cost. “That’s what is most exciting for us,” Chris said. “It’s a blast to give free upgrades!”

Existing MCC Broadband customers need only renew their current package commitment to receive these new upgrades and commitments can be renewed through MCC’s website at www.molalla.com, by phone at 503.829.1100, or by email at sales@molalla.com.
